Who:
The Toby Wells Foundation: Shortly after his 28th birthday, Toby Wells, a third generation San Diegan and animal advocate, lost his life in a tragic accident in May of 2000. Wells’ family and closest friends came together to develop the Toby Wells Foundation in January 2001. Today, the Toby Wells Foundation is focused on building a brighter future for youth, persons with disabilities and animals by providing financial, volunteer and fundraising assistance to other local non-profits. The Toby Wells Foundation continues to make a difference and has assisted in obtaining $5.5 million in direct financial assistance and over 2000+ hours of volunteer service within its first four years of operation.
